Qualidade de vida de crianças e adolescentes irmãos de indivíduos com transtornos crônicos neurológicos, do neurodesenvolvimento e da saúde mental: revisão de escopo

Resumen

Objetivo: Realizar revisão de escopo sobre a qualidade de vida de crianças e adolescentes irmãos de indivíduos com transtornos crô nicos neurológicos, do neurodesenvolvimento e da saúde mental. Fontes de dados: A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, Medline, SciELO e Google Scholar. Síntese dos dados: No total, 1.664 artigos foram encontrados na pesquisa inicial. Destes, 1.061 duplica dos foram removidos. Em seguida, 590 foram excluídos por falta de adequação após a leitura dos títulos e resumos e/ou do texto com pleto, resultando em um total de 13 estudos incluídos. Destes, cinco (38,6%) foram publicados nos últimos cinco anos e 100% nos últi mos 15 anos, avaliando indivíduos de 3 a 18 anos, totalizando 1.741 amostras. Como um todo, em oito estudos (61,6%), os participantes tiveram pior qualidade de vida do que os respectivos controles. Con clusões: Os resultados sugerem que irmãos de indivíduos com trans tornos crônicos neurológicos, do neurodesenvolvimento e da saúde mental tendem a ter menor qualidade de vida, e que o equilíbrio en tre fatores de risco e proteção determina o desfecho. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade da realização de novas pesquisas que investiguem a qualidade de vida, a satisfação com a vida e o bem--estar dessas crianças e adolescentes. Do ponto de vista prático, esta revisão de escopo alerta que, para esses irmãos, é essencial que pe diatras, pediatras do desenvolvimento, neuropediatras e psiquiatras infantis percebam a presença de fatores de risco, que forneçam vi gilância, avaliação e intervenção precoce e que mantenham foco e investimento nos fatores de proteção.
