Guidelines for Authors

Manuscripts must be intended exclusively for the Journal; simultaneous submission to other journals or prior publication in any of them is not permitted, although articles deposited in preprint repositories are accepted.

Publication in a preprint database must always be reported with its proper indication and respective DOI number (Submission, Copyright, and AI Use FORM).

When the submitted manuscript has already been largely published in another journal or as a preprint, or is partially contained in, or closely related to, another manuscript submitted or accepted for publication in another journal, the author(s) must provide a copy of the referred material for the editor's review.

If the manuscript includes tables and illustrations previously published by other authors and/or in other outlets, it is the author's responsibility to provide proof of authorization for reproduction, signed by the copyright holders.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which permits sharing of the work with acknowledgment of authorship and initial publication in this journal. All published articles will be assigned a DOI number.

In alignment with open science, Revista de Pediatria SOPERJ offers authors and reviewers the option to maintain the double-blind review modality or to reveal their identities.
