Citomegalovirose perinatal: aspectos clínico-patológicos

Resumo
Objetivo: Descrever um caso de infecção viral por citomegalovírus em lactente com possível contaminação durante o parto ou aleitamento materno. Descrição do caso: Após o nascimento sem intercorrências e com bom desenvolvimento, o lactente necessitou vários atendimentos emergenciais e internações, até uma evolução para sepse decorrente de episódio de enterocolite refratária que resultou em óbito. Os exames macroscópicos e histopatológicos demonstraram uma agressão sistêmica pelo vírus de inclusão citomegálica. Discussão: Diante de um pré-natal de baixa qualidade associado a um quadro infeccioso progressivo no concepto, a doença de inclusão citomegálica deve ser considerada, mesmo na ausência de exames laboratoriais comprobatórios.
