Canabinoides sintéticos (cs) - novas drogas, novos riscos

Resumo
Os canabinoides sintéticos (CS) compõem um grupo crescente das assim chamadas “designer drugs”. Seu consumo tem aumentado em muitos países, inclusive o Brasil, com a expansão do comércio ilegal e a falsa percepção entre os jovens de que são compostos “naturais” ou “legais”. Contribui para esse cenário a dificuldade de detecção desses novos compostos em testes de triagem convencionais. São abordadas neste artigo as principais manifestações clínicas e toxicológicas do uso dos CS. Atenção especial é dada a alguns riscos do uso desses produtos, incluindo alucinações, psicose, estados confusionais, convulsões, sintomas cardiovasculares, lesão renal e lesão pulmonar. O pediatra que atende adolescentes deve estar atento para o diagnóstico e manejo correto das novas situações de risco.
