Pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with Sars-Cov-2: case report

Abstract
Introduction: Covid-19 infection begun in China in 2019 spread quickly throughout the world, reaching mainly adults and elderly. In April 2020, however, a multissistemic inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) with a predominance in children and adolescents was identified. This syndrome manifests in different ways, and may resemble Kawasaki syndrome and toxic shock, and evolve to shock, most cardiogenic, with elevation of cardiac muscle enzymes. Objective: To report the case of two children infected by SARS-COV-2 virus that have evolved with mis-C and reflect on the importance of early and rapid recognition of treatment for illness. Case Description: This is a case report of two distinct patients who presented MIS-C after contracting the SARS-COV-2 virus. The two cases presented different symptoms and evolutions, although both fill diagnostic criteria for the syndrome. Discussion: Among the clinical criteria of MISC, there are more frequently manifestations such as fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, cardiac commitment and elevation of inflammatory markers. In the case of a new syndrome related to CUVD-19, it is of great relevance the documentation of new cases for the best recognition and management of the complication that mainly affects the pediatric age group.
